For Wausau Supply, efficient communications among its locations across seven states is mission critical. To meet complex logistical demands as a large distributor, Wausau Supply sought to upgrade its Lync and Exchange platforms to take advantage of new features available in the 2013 Enterprise versions. In particular, Wausau Supply wished to integrate the communications platform with Cisco Contact Center and the company’s Cisco phone system.
Concurrency assisted with planning, migration, and final deployment of the Lync 2013 and Exchange 2013 products. Working closely with the Wausau Supply IT staff, the Concurrency team identified and dealt with a compatibility problem that emerged when migrating Cisco Remote Call Control from Lync 2010 to Lync 2013. The problem was likely a product bug, to which the project team found a solution to ensure Wausau Supply gained full value from the upgrade communications platform.
The end result was a stable, fully integrated platform with all users migrated and to the new system and benefiting from enhanced features.
