By meeting these requirements, our client could qualify for discounts on Office 365.SolutionConcurrency’s project team included a business analyst, an Exchange architect and an additional engineer. Through a combination of onsite and remote work, we helped our client accomplish the user migration with time to spare ahead of the year-end deadline. In so doing, we provided guidance on which mailboxes to migrate first and how to do so. We also assisted with updating the organization’s remote desktop server farm—from which it runs users’ email at locations around the country—from an on-premises version of Outlook to the version provided with Office 365 Professional Plus. We used System Center Configuration Manager to achieve a smooth migration and update process. In addition to meeting needs from an IT perspective—both management and licensing—this project also succeeded in its smooth transition from the perspective of end users, as reflected by the low quantity of help-desk calls associated with the process. Now that our client has one major workload running in Office 365, others may follow. SharePoint and OneDrive solutions, for example, may prove to be natural next steps.
