Tell us about your current role and your journey here at Concurrency thus far?
My current role is the Director of Marketplace Disruption, meaning I work on technologies above the line, which is around modern applications, custom app development, working with teams on data and AI projects, and other project teams such as Dynamics, Power BI, Power Apps, and ServiceNow services. I joined Concurrency as a Technical Architect and I moved into a Managing Architect role within about a year of joining the company. I’ve worked on projects like IoT, bot and conversational AI, web projects, mobile projects, etc. It’s a variety of projects with different customers and industries all the way from industrial to warehousing to manufacturing.
What does being a Change Agent mean to you?
Being a Change Agent means a few different things to me. To be a Change Agent, you must be willing to learn, but also not only stopping at learning, but you have to want to push the limitations of yourself, your customers, and your team members to try out new technologies and implement said technologies. You also have to give customers new vision and options to the bigger picture of their business.
What inspires you and/or how is the work you are doing positively impacting organizations?
What inspires me is working with very engaged customers to come up with new solutions for them that are sometimes in my wheelhouse and sometimes outside of my comfort zone. But it challenges me to rise to the occasion and then deliver beyond. As for what I bring to the customer, I think myself and the team; I want my team to bring new innovative ideas but are also unseen by the customers. I take pride in the team that brings quality and results. Sometimes you bring results, but you don’t bring quality, you know? So, I encourage my teams to come and deliver for the customers new technologies, new ideas, as well as to bring them good quality work that is scalable.
