Tell us about your current role and your journey here at Concurrency thus far?
Currently my role is a Technical Architect for the ServiceNow team at Concurrency. I’ve been in this role for about a year and a half now, and primarily I’m in charge of all the technical specifications, pre-sales and architecture for every one of our ServiceNow engagements. Essentially I do all of the “thought” work, development, and architecture to ensure our clients are getting a custom solution that meets their needs.
What does being a Change Agent mean to you?
To me, it means challenging the status quo. Oftentimes when I go into client’s environments, they have been doing the same roundabout methodology with their internal processes. I enjoy challenging them to do something that is either A.) out of box B.) more efficient or C.) automated in ways that they haven’t thought of. Working with clients to empower them to take their ITIL processes to the next maturity level is what keeps me constantly enjoying what I’m doing with Concurrency.
What inspires you and/or how is the work you are doing positively impacting organizations?
We cover the gamut of ITIL. We cover ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and CSM. which encompasses all levels of your internal IT estate. Being able to showcase them to such a high degree such that executive management can make high level decisions on direction of specific services in the environment, is something that is extremely powerful and people are starting to see real value out of.
Not to mention, ServiceNow has put a lot of effort into something new called Impact, which allows C-level executives to see how their instances are being utilized and where they can get more value from the dollars that they’ve spent on the tool. So that directly translates into if you do this, you can expect this net percentage of an efficiency increase, or monetary gain based on that implementation. So it’s really going to start driving not only IT organizations, but also your C-suite executives to start really looking at not only how ServiceNow is valued by their company, but what work we could directly do within the context of their company to also gain efficiency and save money.
