Milwaukee, WI, — August 18, 2014 — Concurrency, Inc. was honored by the Milwaukee Business Journal as the #1 winner in the publication’s annual “Fastest Growing Firms” awards. With a 181% growth rate since 2011, Concurrency topped the list of 31 winners from throughout the Milwaukee region. Concurrency founder and president James Savage accepted the award at a luncheon last Friday, held by the Business Journal at the Pfister hotel. “Our rapid growth is a function of helping area businesses improve their productivity and get more value from their IT investments,” said Savage. “We thank the Business Journal for this honor and all our clients for allowing us the opportunity to do what we love.” In the August 15 issue of the Business Journal, editor Mark Kass writes: “At the top of the list is Concurrency Inc., which has grown more than 181 percent since 2011. Company president James Savage gives a lot of the credit for his company’s success to the cloud. ‘The lion’s share of the growth is organizations recognizing that there needs to be an initiative underway to transition aspects of their business into the cloud,’ Savage told reporter Alison Bauter.” The Business Journal’s August 15 issue also includes a feature article exploring award winners’ best practices for business success. Reporters Denise Lockwood and Alison Bauter note Concurrency’s focus on sales force and marketing automation for “identifying leads and contacts, analyzing how those sources are found, and then following up.” In addition, the Business Journal published an individual profile of Concurrency business and strong growth. Reporter Alison Bauter writes: “Savage has helped establish Concurrency as an expert in understanding and implementing products from Seattle-based Microsoft Corp. Concurrency is a Microsoft field-managed partner, meaning it doesn’t directly sell hardware or software. Instead, it helps clients plan, implement and manage their technology strategies using Microsoft business software.” Now employing more than 90 employees, Concurrency has hired aggressively in each of the past three years, from candidates right out of school to senior software developers and systems architects. In the past 18 months, the company has also added senior business managers in human resources, marketing, and other functional areas to help guide the company’s growth.
